In all things

Exploring life, faith, and connections to the world beyond religion

About The Blog

At the dawn of the Christian church, the Apostle Paul wrote, "The Son is before all things, and in him all things hold together" (Colossians 1:17). In these pages, we will explore a variety of topics, but in all things will reflect on how it is Jesus Christ who is at the center of all creation and holds all things together by his power.

A Psalm of Union

Bless the Lord, who from his fullness gives us grace upon grace.

He fills our empty places with the riches of his life and presence.

Praise the Father, who gave to us his beloved Son,

Offering that which was valued most to rescue us from death.

Praise to the Son, who shed his precious blood,

Offering that which was most valued to bring us life.

Praise the Spirit, who remains ever-present,

Offering to us the riches the Son has supplied for us.

Lord, you have united us to yourself;

Your life within has changed us completely.

When the morning is fresh, you bring new mercies.

Remind us of your unfailing love and faithfulness.

When the afternoon wanes on, you refresh our weary souls.

Shepherd us when our plans succeed and when they fail.

When the evening comes, you whisper your truth.

Teach us to look to you in all things.

Bless the Lord, who from his fullness gives us grace upon grace.

The Son has made the Father known!

The Spirit leads us into all truth!

Bless the Lord.
